Bhuvi Academy provides technical as well as communication and behavioural competency assessment. Also there are online tools having suitable methods of assessing heterogeneous groups. We provide our customers with proctored as well as online assessments. The tools we use are suited not only for new recruits but all to evaluate the competency and capability of those on the roles.

Bhuvi Academy provides Technical Assessments that is template driven, which is usually used to check the candidate’s skill competency. The questions are more towards the job role description and the required primary and secondary skills. These assessments are used to evaluate the candidates for technical or specialist based on the job descriptions. The assessments not only to assess the technical knowledge but how the candidate applies the thought process and on the approach to solve problems. The candidate is also evaluated on how they demonstrate the interpersonal and communication skills.

Bhuvi follows the Competency Assessment Framework model in it manual and well as tool based assessment methods. The key competency areas of Knowledge, Understanding Application, Analysis and Proficiency are mapped alongside the domain functional skills. This gives the assessor the scope to assess the candidate in functional competence and behavioural competency. Further within this the candidate can be assessed deeper on the threshold competency of coordination, planning, analytical thinking, teamwork, presentation skills, learning orientation and as well as differentiating competency like openness and influencing skills.

Bhuvi Technical Competency Assessment Method

  • Assessment facilitation modes are direct, via video interface or in the classroom- on-site or off-site.
  • Questions are scenario based questions requiring the candidate to demonstrate the skill and competency.
  • Use of situational examples from prior experiences will be asked to illustrate their personality, skill set and individual competency.
  • The assessment will tests the candidate’s motivation and commitment to career.
  • On completing the assessment, the candidate is given a will receive an assessment report with a personalized interpretation for the assessment scores.

Bhuvi Communication Proficiency Assessment provides three kinds of Communication Proficiency Tests for candidates based on the proficiency required for the job. It could be either on spoken communication skills, written communication skills or both written and spoken communication skills

Spoken communication areas of assessment are in Language Fluency, Sentence formation, Vocabulary, Pronunciation, Voice modulation and tone of speaking.

Written Communication areas of assessment are on the candidates’ ability to write elaborately using appropriate vocabulary, grammatically correct sentences, organisation of sentences and paragraphs. Also the candidate is tested on the listening skills and the ability to write using the correct tone and tenor.

Written & Spoken communication includes both writing as well as speaking skills assessment. It assess the ability of the candidate to comprehend the English language well. The candidates are tested on all aspects of the language proficiency parameters.

Bhuvi Communication Proficiency Assessment Process

  • A requirement analysis is done with the client.
  • Test questions as per the required the level of proficiency is
    prepared by the SME.
  • The coordinator provides the candidate with a Test ID number and
    an online test sheet with the guidelines for following the test process.
  • The candidate takes the test online as well as use the telephone
    to respond orally and the computer to answer in writing.
  • On receiving the score sheets the SME prepares the proficiency

Bhuvi Academy uses advanced online assessment tools from their business partners to cater to the different kinds of assessment requirements. The tools can be tailored to suit the requirements of the client and has the flexibility of using the question banks provided with the tool or gives the option of uploading custom made question banks onto the system.

The online tools use different testing methodology depending on the competency levels being put to test.

In the Adaptive testing methodology, Bhuvi tests the level of skill/knowledge on the subject. A set of initial questions will determine level of skill or knowledge the candidate has and then auto generates the next set of questions. The computer-adaptive testing method uses an iterative algorithm and sets the difficulty level based on the ability as shown by the candidate in the initial question.

The difficulty level of the test seems to tailor itself to their level of ability. For example, if a candidate performs well on a question of intermediate difficulty, they will then be presented with a more difficult question. Or, if they performed poorly, they would be presented with a simpler question. This ensures that candidates receive quite different tests from each other.

In the Linear Test Method, Bhuvi follows the blend of traditional way of testing and the adaptive model of assessing. In this system, we have a set of questions given to each of the candidates as in traditional method. To enhance proctoring, different sets of questions are given to the participants to avoid malpractice. However, effort is made to have equality in the difficulty level among the sets of questions. The more the candidates, the more sets of questions to eliminate any sort of malpractice. At Bhuvi we conduct this test using a computer program that randomly selects questions and makes sets of them ensuring questions are equivalent across the sets.

In the Real Time Method, is used in software programming that helps detect bugs in the software. This form of testing gives the desired functionality to the user. The tests starts by leveraging on a library of questions pertaining to programming challenges in difficulty levels to determine the capability and competency level by using time constraints.
